Uniting Clean Water Professionals all over Connecticut

Since 1966 CTWEA has been serving the needs Connecticut clean water professionals.  Membership in CTWEA offers great opportunities for networking, marketing and overall personal and professional development within a very active environmental association.  CTWEA together with the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) is a leading source of wastewater disposal and clean water advocacy information providing a wide range of resources for individuals to contribute to the water environment profession.

​Membership Levels

The CTWEA is a nonprofit organization run by clean water industry volunteers from Connecticut.   The dues collected pay for the administration of the organization.  Annual budgets are established and managed each year by the CTWEA Board of Directors.   As a paid member, you will be linked to our organization database where you will add to the fabric of clean water collaboration in Connecticut.  

*Membership Dues - $20 / year per individual
To obtain a Individual Membership you must be employed within a Municipality, Water Pollution Control Authority
Board of Directors, city/town or regulator within the State of CT.

In addition to the nominal annual membership fee, most events and/or activities require registration fees or the purchase of tickets. Typical attendance fees for our Workshops and Networking Events are usually between $40 and $90 per person. Individual Members received preferred rates for these events.

*Associate Membership Dues - $100 / year per individual
Associate Members are those persons who are interested in “furthering the purposes” of CTWEA.  Consulting engineers, vendors and other supporting professionals are eligible for Associate Membership.   Like Municipal Membership, each Associate Membership is “individual”.   If an Associate Member changes their place of work, membership to the CTWEA will follow them seamlessly.  In addition to the nominal annual membership fee, most events and/or activities require registration fees or the purchase of attendance tickets.  Typical attendance fees for our Workshops and Networking Events are usually between $40 and $90 per person.  Associate Members received preferred rates for these events.

Student Membership - Free
Proof of full time student enrollment status must be provide to the CTWEA.

January 1st - December 31st 
* Current CAWPCA and CWPAA memberships have been extended for 2022 as part of the CTWEA merger.   Renewals for 2023 will be sent in November 2022.
